Child Safety Standards
Last updated: September 7, 2026
Lyrii has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). Content or behaviour that sexualises, endangers, or exploits a minor is prohibited on Lyrii without exception, and accounts responsible for it are removed permanently.
This page is our published standard against CSAE. It applies to everything on Lyrii — public posts, private journals, direct messages, and every anonymous feature — on the web and in our Android app.
1. What is prohibited
The following are banned on Lyrii and will be removed:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form, real or generated
- Written material that sexualises a minor, including fiction, poetry, or roleplay. Lyrii is a writing platform, and creative framing is not a defence — the prohibition covers written work exactly as it covers images
- Grooming, or any attempt to solicit, sexualise, or arrange contact with a minor
- Sextortion, or threatening to share a minor's intimate imagery
- Trafficking or advertising a minor for sexual purposes
- Off-platform CSAE conduct, where we become aware of it and it involves a Lyrii account
2. Minimum age
Lyrii is not intended for children. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, as stated in our terms of service. Where local law sets a higher minimum age for consent to data processing, that age applies instead. Accounts we believe belong to someone below the minimum age are removed.
3. How to report CSAE
In the app or on the web: every post carries a report control. Choose Child safety — sexual content involving a minor as the reason. Reports in that category are escalated ahead of the general moderation queue.
By email: write to support@lyrii.com with “CHILD SAFETY” in the subject line. Include a link to the content or the username involved. You do not need a Lyrii account to email us, and you may report anonymously.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first. Reporting to us is not a substitute for contacting the police.
4. How we respond
- CSAE reports are prioritised above every other report category
- Content assessed as CSAE is removed, and the account is banned permanently and without warning
- We preserve the associated records where we are required to, so that law enforcement can act on them
- Enforcement applies regardless of which feature was used, including the anonymous ones. Anonymity on Lyrii is for creative expression; it is not protection from this policy
5. Reporting to authorities
We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and cooperate with law enforcement requests that are valid in the relevant jurisdiction. Where local law obliges us to report to a different national authority, we do that as well.
You can also report directly to NCMEC's CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org, or to the Internet Watch Foundation at report.iwf.org.uk.
6. Child safety point of contact

7. Compliance and review
These standards are reviewed at least annually, and whenever our features or the applicable law change. They sit alongside our terms of service and privacy policy.
